FAQ

FAQ: hiring welding, pipefitting and electrical crews

Answers to what project managers ask most often before they send an enquiry.

How do I hire welders for an industrial project in Denmark?

Send us the trades, the site and the start date and we reply within one working day. We agree scope, certificates and crew size, screen and test the welders, and deliver a complete crew with its own foreman, directly employed by Work4s.

What is the difference between a staffing agency and a contractor like Work4s?

A staffing agency places individuals, we deliver a complete crew. Our people are directly employed by Work4s, arrive with their own foreman, and we take responsibility for planning, quality, documentation and reporting. There is no sub-supplier sitting underneath us.

Are your people employed under Danish collective agreements?

Yes. Everyone is directly employed by Work4s on Danish contracts under DI agreements (DIO I and III). We are a member of the Confederation of Danish Industry (Dansk Industri).

How quickly can you mobilise a crew?

It depends on crew size, trades and test requirements, and we agree it per project. We have mobilised at very short notice, for example to Northvolt in Västerås, but we never promise a lead time we cannot keep.

What certificates do your welders hold?

We match welders to the project requirements, typically welder qualifications to EN ISO 9606-1 in the relevant processes, positions and materials, such as TIG 141 in stainless. Certificates are shown before start, and we run practical tests when required.

Do you work in Sweden, Norway and Germany?

Yes. Denmark is our home market, and we also work in Sweden, Norway, Germany, Austria, France, the Netherlands and neighbouring markets.

Who handles housing, travel and PPE?

We do. Work4s handles pay, tax, insurance, permits, A1, housing, travel, PPE and rotations.

How do you make sure there is no social dumping?

Everyone is directly employed by us on Danish contracts under DI agreements, with no sub-suppliers. Contracts, payslips, hours and certificates can be shown to the client. Documented, not promised.

Which trades can you deliver?

TIG and orbital welders, pipefitters, industrial electricians and electricians, mechanical installers, instrument fitters, refrigeration technicians, ventilation installers, stainless steel smiths, and team leaders and supervisors.

Which sectors do you work in?

Data centres, pharma and biotech, food and dairy, energy and process industry, and shipyards and maritime.

Do you supply individual workers?

No, as a rule we deliver teams, not individual hires. A crew always has its own foreman or supervisor.

Who leads the crew on site?

The crew's own Work4s foreman or supervisor. The foreman coordinates daily with your project manager and sends a weekly report on progress, manpower, quality and safety.

What happens if someone needs replacing?

Replacements go through the same qualification as the rest of the crew: screening, document checks and a practical test where required.

Is Work4s ISO certified?

Yes, Work4s is certified to ISO 9001:2015.

Can you deliver more than crews, such as project management and QA/QC?

Yes. We can scale from one crew to a project organisation with project management, site management, QA/QC and HSE.

How many people does Work4s employ?

We employ 70 to 80 skilled tradespeople, and we delivered 92,000 man-hours on two projects in 2024 and 2025.
